Sunday Linky Party #69 + Goodies

Hi all, sorry the Party's late. Hubby and I adopted a dog today and that was an almost-whole-day event (calling in to the animal sanctuary, driving 2+ hours to get him, buying all the supplies, getting him a flea bath, driving back, etc.)  Our new doggie is a poodle/dachshund mix and looks like Falcor the dragon, so we named him Falcor :) I'll post pictures soon! He was a stray and nobody wanted him, but he's soooo sweet. Anyway, hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July, ate lots of barbecue, and enjoyed the fireworks! Check out the great tutorials and recipes this week, there's always something inspiring.

Starfish are such classic summer beach icons, and they are seriously visual wonders! Make a bunch of clay starfish for your living room-- they're really easy! Check out the tutorial at Twigg Studios. Also see her other tutorials: soda can labels, Moroccan tea glass votives, and beautiful flowers made from cardstock (seriously, how many ways can you make paper flowers and still have them look so gorgeous and realistic??)

Here's some sewing 101 tips: how to make a pleated skirt when you're a little short on fabric (as experienced by 2nd Story Sewing). This is a totally cute skirt that I'd want in multiple colors :)

Surprise your nerdy friends (or just yourself) with some mosaic Space Invaders artwork, by Art Club Blog! If you really like this mosaic, why not tile your entire bathroom wall?? :)

If you're getting into jewelry-making, add these zen spiral hoop earrings to your collection. Get the tutorial from Jewelry Making Journal!

So the 4th of July over, but this wreath is pretty cool. I really like the part of the tutorial where Moments with the Montano's shows us how to make those stars (which can be nicely incorporated into other crafts as well). Plus, change the colors and I can imagine this wreath transitioning into a nice Christmas holy night-themed one :)

Make interesting, yummy, and healthy star tortilla chips, like these from Make the Best of Everything. They are baked so no worries! Make a sweet or salty version (I'm leaning towards the sweet... :)

Here's another fun snack: cheese straws, by Making Memories! Make a bag of these and munch away in front of the tv. Try her honey bun cake, too!

For those who like staying within bite-sized portions of dessert, the perfect solution is mini blueberry pies by Lady Behind the Curtain! Of course, it'll be really hard to eat just one of these. Maybe two per person is okay.

For the cupcake fiends out there, add this ganache topped peanut butter cup muffins to your repertoire! These classic flavors are sure to please :) Head to Back for Seconds for the recipe and for fluffernutter blondies.

If you like coffee flavored sweets, these coffee biscuits by Trick & Treat will surely please your palette. And they're so cute and small, very sophisticated!

Eat super healthy by serving quinoa patties for dinner, from Path of Wellness. Quinoa is very good for you, so I've been trying to add more of it to my diet. These look good so I'll have to try them! :)
